In 2020, my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. I remember standing at his funeral, watching my grandmother weep and my family grieve, and thinking: what if he had left us something? A proper goodbye. Words we could hold onto.
I didn't act on the idea for years. Honestly, I was worried people would see it the wrong way — that it would feel morbid, or worse, that it might push someone toward harmful thoughts. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized: this isn't about death at all.
It's about life. About noticing the people around you, and making sure they know how you feel while there's still time.
It's about giving yourself peace of mind — and leaving something behind for the people you love, for the moments you can't be there yourself.
That's what Keepsy is all about. Because the hardest words to say are often the ones that matter most.
