Cookie Policy
Keepsy — A Digital Message Preservation Platform | Operated by 2inBay LLC
Last updated: March 26, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the site owners. Keepsy uses cookies in a minimal and privacy-respecting manner.
2. Cookies We Use
Keepsy uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the platform to function. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Cognito Session Tokens | Maintains your authenticated session (ID token, access token, refresh token) | 1 hour (access/ID) / 30 days (refresh) |
3. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to persist authentication tokens between sessions. This is how Keepsy keeps you signed in. Local storage data remains on your device until you sign out or clear your browser data. It is not transmitted to our servers with every request.
4. Third-Party Cookies
The following third-party services may set cookies when you interact with them through Keepsy:
- Amazon Cognito: Authentication tokens for secure sign-in and session management.
- Stripe: Payment processing cookies when you visit the checkout page for subscription upgrades.
- Google: If you use "Sign in with Google," Google may set cookies during the OAuth flow.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies for any purpose.
5. What We Do NOT Use
- No analytics or tracking cookies
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No cross-site tracking
- No behavioral profiling
6. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Note that disabling or deleting authentication cookies will sign you out, and you will need to sign in again.
Because Keepsy only uses strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. These cookies are exempt from consent requirements under most privacy regulations (including GDPR) as they are essential for the service to function.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or through the platform.
